The CSC stands for Common Service Center Scheme. It is regulated by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Government of India. It is a Digital India Program which is launched by the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to promote the digital mediums and technology in the country.

To implement the Digital India Program throughout the country, the government took a step into the Common Service Center Scheme. Its motive is to make India a completely digital nation. What is CSC Digital Seva Portal?

The Common Service Centre (CSC) is launched under the DIgital India Program. Its main motive is to provide digital services to the Indian citizens. Through the portal, citizens can avail different G2C, B2B and B2C services. Citizens can apply for various certificates and access the government services. 

Individuals can apply for the scheme, students can apply for exams. The CSC new registration process is simple and completely online, that means the applicant does not need to visit any government office.

  1. To reach 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats in India.

Eligibility Criteria to Open a Common Service Center?

Anyone who wants to open a CSC, must pass the pass class 10th. However, to successfully register you must have a Telecenter Entrepreneur Certificate (TEC). Who Can Register on Digital Seva Portal? 

The following steps must be followed to register and start a digital seva portal on the government website. 

  1. Visit the CSC official website at csc.gov.in.
  2. Click on apply and choose New Registration.
  3. Choose the application type from the drop down list. Enter mobile number and fill captcha. Now click on the submit button.
  4. An application form will appear on a new screen.
  5. Fill the required information such as name, date of birth, gender, authentication type. Click on the next button.
  6. Fill bank account details and upload all the required documents such as PAN card, Aadhar card, bank passport. Upload all the documents mentioned on the website.
  7. Enter other details in the seven phases from personal details, location details, banking details and others.
  8. After completing all the phases, check the information and read all the terms and conditions. 
  9. Lastly, click on the submit button. Print the application form mail copy sent to you on your registered email address. Also this copy will be sent to the District Manager of the CSC along with the copies of your papers.

The department will take one to two months to evaluate your CSC registration application. After this you will be able to utilise your Digital Seva Portal to provide services to the general public.

How to Check the Registration Status? 

After completing the CSC registration process, you can check the status of your application. Below are the steps through which you can check the progress of your application form:

  1. Visit the official website of CSC.
  2. Enter the Application Reference Number that was shared with you on the email address provided by you at the time of registration. 
  3. Enter Captcha.
  4. Click on Submit to proceed.

Note: If the fees are deducted from your bank account, and want to check the status of fees payment. Then, check the ‘My Account’ section for transactions.

How to Login into Digital Seva Portal Login?

  1. Visit the website of CSC.
  2. Click on login, button is in the upper right corner.
  3. Enter Username or Email, Password and Captcha. You get the username and password on the registered email address.
  4. Click on the sign-in option.

Note: For login if you forget the password, then you can recover it by entering the username, email and captcha.
