How to Apply for Business PAN?

Step 1: Visit the official website of NSDL.
Step 2: Now, once you are on the homepage, click on ‘Apply Now’.
Step 3: Select the ‘Application Type’ option as ‘New PAN - Indian Citizen (Form 49A)’ or ‘New PAN - Foreign Citizen (Form 49AA)’ using the drop-down menu. Then choose ‘Firm’ in the Select Applicant Category.
Step 4: Now, fill in necessary details in the application form, including company name, email ID, mobile number and date of incorporation.
Step 5: Enter captcha code and click on ‘Submit’ button.
Step 6: Click ‘Submit digitally through e-KYC and e-Sign’ option. Then, select the option for obtaining a physical PAN.
Step 7: Fill in other necessary information in the application like company details, contact details and AO code. Thereafter, upload all the necessary documents.
Step 8: Now, select payment mode and then make the payment.
Step 9: After making the payment, an acknowledgement slip will be generated. Take a printout of the same. Using the acknowledgement number in the slip, you can track the application status of company PAN.
After generation of acknowledgement slip, the company PAN will be sent to the registered office of the company. In case of e-PAN, the company will receive it on the email address within 15-20 days.
