FCC Certification Process

If an electronic product is being manufactured in USA, then you most probably have come across the FCC mark. This mark declares that the electromagnetic interference caused by this product is restricted within the standard that has been set up by the US governing body. Now, even if you are from India, you would want this certification as it is viable to the US products, no matter where they are exported. Therefore, throughout the course of this blog, we are going to tell you about the FCC certification process in India.

The Process of FCC Certification

The process of FCC certification in India is similar to most forms of certifications out there. You can expect for there to be 3 main steps: Application for the certification, Auditing of the application and the product, then there is certification. To explain these steps in a bit more comprehensive manner:

  1. Application for FCC certification: This form of certification can be filed in an online or an offline format. However, the online format is a lot more favourable (because of its paperless nature). You will have this application, after you have gone through the FCC Certification requirements in India. This way, you have a better chance at getting certified.
  2. Auditing of the application and the product: During the application process, you also have to submit some documents. These documents are going to detail the accurate description of the products. These descriptions become the subject of auditing during this certification process.
  3. Certification: Once the application and the product’s document have been properly audited, you will get your hands on the certification.

Once you have gotten the Certification, you are now ready to sell your products within the US territory.
