The BTech Cadet Entry Scheme 2026 is an Indian Navy scheme for bright 10+2 (12th pass) students. It allows them to become permanent officers by completing a fully sponsored 4-year B.Tech course. The selection for the scheme heavily relies on JEE Main score as well as the SSB interview.
The course for the selected candidates shall commence in July 2026 at Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala, Kerala. Both men and women can apply for the scheme. A maximum of seven vacancies are reserved specifically for women.
The deadline for submitting the Indian Navy Cadet Entry Scheme application form is 19 January 2026. Candidates are permitted to submit only one application. Submitting multiple applications will result in the cancellation of their candidature.

Age Limit for Indian Navy Cadet Entry Scheme 2026: To apply for the Indian Navy Cadet Entry Scheme 2026, the candidates must be born between 2 January 2007 and 1 July 2009.
The applicant must have passed the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with :-
At least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
At least 50% marks in English in either Class 10 or Class 12.
The applicant must have appeared for the JEE (Main) 2025 BE/BTech examination to be eligible to apply for the Indian Navy 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme.
The minimum height requirement is generally 157 cm for male candidates and 152 cm for female candidates.
The weight of the candidate must be proportionate to their height.
The applicant must not be colourblind.
Note :- All the Services Selection Board-recommended candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination in accordance with the applicable standards for the 10+2 (BTech) entry. It is important to note that no relaxation in medical standards is permitted on any grounds. In addition, change of medical hospital or centre is not allowed.

Here are the steps you need to follow to apply for Indian Navy BTech Cadet Entry Scheme :-
Step 1 :- To apply for Indian Navy B Tech Entry Scheme, you need to visit the official recruitment portal of Indian Navy @ www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
Step 2 :- Once you are on the homepage, search for the log in option. If you do not have an account, then first register on the website.
Step 3 :- To login, enter your email address and mobile number.
Step 4 :- Thereafter, select the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme.
Step 5 :- Enter the details required for the scheme, including personal, educational and JEE Main 2025 CRL details. The personal details must match those mentioned in the Class 10/12 certificate. Make sure all the details are correct and complete. In case of incorrect details or incomplete application, your application can be rejected.
Step 6 :- Then, you need to upload all the required documents. In case of illegible or unclear documents, the application will be rejected. So, make sure the documents are easy to read and are clear.
Step 7 :- Finally, submit the application form. You can save a copy of the form for future reference.
To avoid any last minute hassle, the applicants are advised to complete their profile in advance. Candidates shortlisted for the scheme will receive intimation through email and SMS on their registered contact details. No changes should be made to the email ID or mobile number until the selection process concludes.
On the day of SSB interview, the candidates must carry a printout of the submitted application along with the original documents. After the selection, the candidates will undergo a four-year BTech programme in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering, as per the naval requirements.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University will award the degree. The full cost of training, including books and study materialism, will be borne by the Indian Navy. Additionally, the Cadets will receive the entitled clothing and messing facilities.
