Deloitte launches AI-powered search platform Tax Pragya

On 9 December 2025, Deloitte India launched an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered platform Tax Pragya to help tax professionals with faster research inputs and insights. 

According to Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, the platform operates as a mobile-friendly tax AI agent. 

It allows for smarter search, faster learning and seamless cross-skilling across Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax/Indirect Tax and Transfer Pricing. Tax Pragya serves as a search and summarization platform. 

It can even handle and solve high volume, high risk problems across tax audit reporting, litigation management, GST compliance, tax deducted at source, transfer pricing and capital gains computation, all while delivering real-time dashboards as well as predictive insights and stronger audit trails.

Tax Pragya is an advanced tool that goes beyond traditional research methods. While conventional tools typically retrieve documents, Tax Pragya can handle complex tax inquiries, conduct thorough background searches, and provide clear, well-supported answers. Its interactive chatbot lets users delve into tax documents and case laws in detail, according to Deloitte.

According to Deloitte India, President, Tax, Gokul Chaudhri, "Tax Pragya represents a pivotal shift in how tax teams of businesses, large or small, can use responsible AI to access technical insights at speed." 

Deloitte India Partner Sumit Singhania stated, "Following a successful in-house pilot involving more than 2,000 Deloitte professionals actively using this platform, we are seeing new age technologies fundamentally reshape the pace and precision of tax knowledge and insights. Built on a deeply trained, enterprise-grade model."

Tax Pragya has been trained on more than 1.2 million tax cases and over 5,000 technical papers, solutions and insights authored by Deloitte experts. The service is offered through flexible subscription models at various price points along with a brief trial period to assist organizations in finding the right fit. Additionally, customization is available for client-specific in-house data.
