A Virtual Network Operator (VNO) is a telecom company that provides telecommunication services to customers without owning the telecom network used to deliver those services.
Instead, it uses the network of a Parent Network Service Operator (NSO) under a commercial agreement. This allows the VNO to save the costs of establishing, operating and maintaining its own telecom network.
A Parent Network Service Operator (NSO) is a telecom company that owns, establishes, operates and maintains the telecom network and infrastructure required to provide telecommunication services. It enters into a commercial agreement with a VNO and allows it to use its network so as to offer authorised telecom services to customers.
