The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is organising BIOFACH INDIA 2026. APEDA works under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
The event is being organised in collaboration with Nuernberg Messe India and IFOAM - Organics International. It began on 6 August 2026 and will take place till 8 August 2026 at the India Expo Centre & Mart (IEML), Greater Noida, Delhi-NCR.
BIOFACH INDIA 2026 brings together stakeholders from the organic, natural and sustainable food sectors. The exhibition provides a platform for trade, knowledge exchange and business networking.
The exhibition has more than 200 companies, including over 60 exhibitors at the APEDA Pavilion. The pavilion includes exporters, women entrepreneurs, Farmer Producer Organisations, Farmer Producer Companies, startups and other organic enterprises.
The APEDA Pavilion showcases certified organic products from states such as Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra along with other parts of India. The products on display include the following:-
Cereals
Pulses
Millets
Spices
Tea
Coffee
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Processed foods
Herbs
Medicinal plants
Oilseeds
Edible oils
Honey
Cocoa products
Natural ingredients
Organic nutraceuticals
Other value-added food products
The above-mentioned products showcase the wide range of India's organic products.
APEDA has facilitated better access for Indian organic products to the global market by enabling the participation of more than 35 international buyers from 13 major international markets such as Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Mongolia and Egypt among others.
The buyers, representing leading importers, distributors, wholesalers and retail chains, are taking part in structured Buyer-Seller Meets with Indian exhibitors so as to build business partnerships, explore new sourcing opportunities and promote long-term export collaborations.
The 3-day exhibition will also include technical conferences, interactive knowledge sessions, product demonstrations and trend showcases on organic certification, traceability, sustainability, market access, changing consumer preferences and emerging opportunities in global organic trade. These sessions provide an overview of international regulatory requirements, quality standards and expectations of export markets. The inaugural session was graced by Shri Katikithala Srinivas, Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, as the Chief Guest.
The Guests of Honor were Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav and Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Georg Enzweiler. Also present were Chairman, APEDA, Shri Abhishek Dev; Secretary, Spices Board of India, Shri M. S. Manivannan; Chairperson of the Board & Managing Director, Nuernberg Messe India, Ms. Sonia Prashar and Vice President, IFOAM - Organics International, Mr. Marco Schlüter.
While speaking on the occasion, Shri Katikithala Srinivas said that the organic sector presents huge opportunities for India to enhance its agricultural exports and open up better market opportunities for farmers and enterprises. He said that events like BIOFACH INDIA help showcase India’s certified organic products and connect Indian businesses with international buyers. They also help strengthen India’s position in the global organic market, promote sustainable farming and help farmers and businesses get better value for their products.
India has a diverse and growing organic sector with big potential in international markets, said Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav. He also mentioned that BIOFACH INDIA is an important platform for Indian exporters and organic enterprises to showcase their products, interact with global buyers and understand changing market requirements. He reiterated the Indian government’s commitment to enhance the country’s organic export ecosystem through the means of quality assurance, market access and international engagement.
BIOFACH INDIA 2026 is a joint initiative of APEDA, Nuernberg Messe India and IFOAM - Organics International. It is aimed at strengthening India's organic ecosystem, expanding global market linkages and creating new business opportunities for Indian organic enterprises. It is also intended at improving the global visibility of India's certified organic products.
