Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs wins Top Prize in IITF 2025

On 27 November 2025, the GST & Customs Pavilion bagged the Gold Prize in the Public Outreach and Communication Category at India International Trade Fair 2025 held in New Delhi. It was a temporary exhibition showcased by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs. It won the prize for its far-reaching efforts, innovative public engagement formats and also its inclusive communication strategy. 

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs exhibited its flagship GST & Customs Pavilion at IITF 2025 in New Delhi, from 14 November 2025 till 27 November 2025. The Pavilion’s theme was Next-Gen GST: सरल कर, खुशहाल राष्ट्र. 

It aimed at deepening public understanding of the Government of India’s latest reforms in indirect taxation as well as trade facilitation. People of all age groups and professions actively participated in the CBIC Pavilion. This reflected strong public interest and optimism towards the recent GST reforms.

CBIC Pavilion’s Key Highlights

Here are the key highlights of the CBIC Pavilion. :-

  • Expert Helpdesks for Immediate Assistance :- Eight help desks from GST, Customs, GSTN, ICEGATE and CPGRAMS offered quick, on-the-spot assistance with registration, refunds, return filing, grievances and trade procedures.

  • Learning Content in Different Languages :- For all the visitors, the GST and Customs processes were simplified due to educational videos as well as tutorials available in 10 regional languages, plus Hindi and English.

  • Interactive Displays :- Digital screens and interactive displays highlighted the key reforms, technological upgrades and achievements of CBIC. They showcased smoother and more transparent compliance systems.

  • Engaging Activities for Creating Tax Awareness :- Activities by CBIC at IITF 2025 such as magic shows, puppet shows, quizzes, caricature artists, VR games and selfie corners made tax awareness enjoyable and accessible, complemented by informative brochures.

  • Dedicated Sessions for Youth-Focused Career Guidance :- Dedicated sessions took place for guiding students regarding career opportunities within CBIC and informing them regarding the Board’s role in revenue administration and trade facilitation.

The CBIC expressed gratitude to all visitors, stakeholders and partners for their enthusiastic participation. It reaffirmed its commitment when it comes to simplifying taxes, enhancing transparency and building a more citizen-friendly indirect taxation ecosystem for all the taxpayers in India.
