This MoU aims to support entrepreneurs, innovators and startups across the nation. It is anticipated to help the startups in the early stage and growth stage in scaling efficiently by leveraging online payment solutions, startup support initiatives and financial infrastructure.

The goal of the said platform is to help startups with everything, from business incorporation to getting access to government programs and schemes as well as advice regarding the funding options available to them. This will make it easier for startups to get the ecosystem support they need through a structured interface.

Shri Sanjiv, who is the Joint Secretary of DPIIT, said that the partnership shows that the DPIIT is dedicated to improving India's startup ecosystem by working with top fintech companies. He stressed on the fact facilitating seamless access for startups to financial infrastructure and tools will be very important for speeding up their growth.

Shri Harshil Mathur, who is the Razorpay CEO and Co-founder, emphasized that the partnership is fueled by a shared vision to encourage innovation and make the entrepreneurial journey more accessible as well as scalable. He pointed out that the rise of startups across the country especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities highlights the growing need for robust infrastructure, mentorship and ecosystem support.

As part of this collaboration, the DPIIT and Razorpay will organize regular knowledge sessions on various topics, including applied artificial intelligence, marketing, product development and financial management, via Startup India Hub to ensure broader outreach. Startups recognized by DPIIT will also receive incorporation support without any fees, apart from applicable government charges, along with access to credits as well as incentives for various financial and business tools.

The startup will also get access to mentorship support, application guidance, pitch deck reviews and curated resources to allow for early-stage growth. Under the initiative, selected startups will be onboarded into curated founder communities to enable peer learning, networking and access to additional ecosystem support across areas like engineering, hiring and marketing.

The DPIIT-Razorpay partnership will also explore the organization of innovation challenges under Bharat Startup Grand Challenge framework, with a specific focus on fintech-related problem statements and digital innovation.
