The Indian Army is inviting online applications from unmarried male as well as unmarried female law graduates for the grant of Short Service Commission in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Branch. Here are the details of the JAG Entry Scheme 2026:-
Name of the Post:- Judge Advocate General
No. of Post:- A total of 08 (Eight) posts are available.
Deadline for Online Application:- The last date to submit the online application is 27.02.2026
Age Limit:- 21 to 27 years as on 01 Jul 2026 (Born not earlier than 02 Jul 1999 and not later than 01 Jul 2005; both dates inclusive).
(Note:- The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or Secondary School Examination Certificate, or an equivalent document, will be accepted on the date of application submission. No requests for changes to this date will be granted afterward.)
Essential Qualification and Experience:- Here are the essential qualifications and experience required for applying for Judge Advocate General Scheme:-
Minimum of 55% aggregate marks in an LLB Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after completing the 10+2 examination).
A valid CLAT PG 2025 score is mandatory for all candidates (including those who are LLM qualified or appearing for LLM) applying for courses starting in the relevant year.
Candidates must be eligible for registration as advocates with the Bar Council of India or State. They should have graduated from a college or university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
To apply for the JAG scheme, follow the steps given below:-
Step 1:- Visit the official recruitment website of Indian Army @ https://joinindianarmy.nic.in/Authentication.aspx.
Step 2:- Then, you must enter the captcha code correctly so you can get access to the website.
Step 3:- Now, once you are on the website’s homepage, click on the "Apply Online" or "New User? Register" link.
Step 4:- Then, fill in your basic details to register and create login credentials (username and password).
Step 5:- After that, you must log in with your new login credentials and select the "JAG Entry Scheme" or relevant notification for 124th Course.
Step 6:- Then, you must complete the online application form by filling out the necessary personal, educational and CLAT PG details. Then, upload all the required documents. Make sure the details provided are accurate and complete and that the documents are legible. Then, you need to click on submit.
Step 7:- Finally, your application form will be submitted successfully. You can take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
