In response to overwhelming interest from innovators across India, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has decided to extend Navachar Mantra registration deadline to 15 July 2026. This extension provides more aspiring entrepreneurs with the opportunity to transform their promising ideas into successful ventures. So far, thousands of registrations have already been received from innovators via the official Navachar Mantra registration portal.

It is anticipated that the extended registration period will attract even more participants and that it will bring forth a greater number of innovative ideas from all over the country. Navachar Mantra, MSDE’s flagship national innovation platform, is being implemented by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD). Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi is acting as the Knowledge Partner for this initiative.

Navachar Mantra aims to identify, nurture and accelerate high potential entrepreneurial ideas through structured mentorship, expert guidance, industry connections and market access. It has been developed as a comprehensive platform meant for innovator-led entrepreneurship. It provides participants with access to expert mentoring, incubation support, industry partnerships, connections to investors and institutional guidance.

The initiative aims to help refine, validate and scale ideas of innovators into sustainable enterprises with real market potential while creating a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurship across the country. This program was conceived so as to bridge the gap between innovation and enterprise. It aligns with the Indian government's vision to promote innovation driven growth, nurture job creators and strengthen the startup ecosystem of the country.

The initiative seeks to uncover entrepreneurial potential from every corner of the country by encouraging participation from students, startups, professionals and grassroots innovators including those coming from Tier-II, Tier-III and rural areas. The extension of the registration deadline showcases the Ministry’s commitment when it comes to providing deserving innovators with adequate time to participate in the program and benefit from its extensive support network.

It also reinforces the efforts by MSDE to make innovation and entrepreneurship more inclusive, accessible and representative of India’s diverse talent pool. The Ministry has invited students, startups, professionals, grassroots innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs to seize this extended opportunity and take the first step toward transforming their ideas into impactful enterprises.
