On 7 November 2025, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (abbreviated as DoSJE), Government of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Physics Wallah Foundation. Under the MoU, free structured coaching will be provided to 15,000 aspirants belonging to Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes and PM CARES Children Scheme’s beneficiaries.
The MoU signing ceremony took place at 12:00 Noon, on 7 November 2025, in the esteemed presence of the Secretary of Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, at Shastri Bhawan in New Delhi. Under this collaboration, PW Foundation will provide free access to high quality digital coaching for UPSC, SSC and Banking examinations.
This initiative will include live and recorded lectures, test series, mentorship, counseling, and study materials, thereby expanding access to preparation for competitive examinations for underprivileged communities.
This partnership is a non-financial collaboration, and is purely to benefit the society. The Department will facilitate the selection of eligible beneficiaries through a transparent online process, while PW Foundation will deliver educational content via its digital platform at no cost to the government or students.
While speaking on the occasion, the Secretary of the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment said, “This collaboration represents a step forward in making quality coaching facility accessible to students from marginalized communities. Through digital empowerment and inclusive education, we aim to unlock opportunities that enable our youth to compete and succeed in national-level examinations.”
The Memorandum of Understanding shows that the government is committed to the goals of “Inclusive Human Resource Development” and aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4), which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all. It also shows that the PW foundation is supportive of the government’s goals.
The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, abbreviated as DoSJE, is a department within the Government of India. This department’s primary focus is on the welfare, social justice and empowerment of disadvantaged and marginalized groups in India like the Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, persons with disabilities, senior citizens and substance abuse victims.
DoSJE’s goal is to integrate these groups into mainstream development by making them self-reliant via policies, programs and execution of laws.
