On 14 April, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna (ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਯੋਜਨਾ). Under this scheme, women belonging to the General Category will receive a financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 on a monthly basis while women from Scheduled Caste Category will receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,500. It is important to note that the women must be at least 18 years of age to avail the scheme’s benefits.

Registration & Roll Out of Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna 2026

CM Mann called the scheme a true tribute to Babsaheb Ambedkar’s vision of social justice and quality. He launched the registration process for women beneficiaries while ensuring doorstep facilitation via a massive network comprising camps and support staff.

Under the scheme, there are 26,000 registration centers and "Mahila Satkar Sakhis" in every village and ward. It is designed to be a major and easy-to-access scheme. It is one of the most expansive direct financial support schemes for women in the country.

Constituencies covered under the Scheme

The rollout for Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana has been launched in a total of 9 constituencies, namely, Adampur, Dirba, Sunam, Moga, Malout, Patiala Rural, Kotkapura, Batala, and Anandpur Sahib. It shall expand across the remaining 108 constituencies from 15 May 2026. The financial assistance shall start in July 2026.

While addressing a rally in Adampur in Jalandhar, Mann said, “Registration for women in the remaining 108 constituencies will start from May 15 onwards. Monthly payments of Rs 1,000 or Rs 1,500 will start from July onwards.”

No Deadline for Registration

According to the Punjab CM, there is no deadline for the registration. He said, “There is no deadline for registration and the ladies need not worry as it doesn’t matter when they register, whether April 15 or May 15 or August 15. Delayed registration would not affect benefits of the scheme.

He further stated, “They will get their full payment payable from July onwards, so even if they register at the end of September, they will get full payment for three months, meaning July, August and September.”

Documents Required for Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna Registration

Only a few documents are required for registration. These documents are:

  • Aadhaar with a Punjab address

  • Voter ID

  • Bank Passbook

  • For SC women, the SC certificate is also necessary

Mann addressed the concerns of SC women who lack caste certificates. He said, “I know many of my sisters and mothers don’t have a certificate but they don’t have to worry and just apply for their certificate.” He further assured uninterrupted benefits to them.

He stated, “If that is taking time then don’t have to worry as they too can register under the scheme without the certificate and start getting Rs 1,000 monthly. However, whenever their certificate comes, the State Government will pay them a difference of Rs 500 per month as well from July onwards. There is no need to worry on this front.”

Designated Places for Registration

To register for the scheme, the eligible women can visit the designated places, including the following:
