The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced RBI recruitment 2025 for a total of 120 officer positions for the year 2025. The candidates aspiring to work in RBI can apply online via official website. The application process will begin on 10 September. The RBI application deadline is 30 September till 6 pm.

The RBI vacancy details 2025 are as follows:
Officers in Grade B (DR): General:- A total of 83 posts are available for Officers in Grade B (DR).
Officers in Grade B (DR): Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR):- A total of 17 posts are available for Officers in Grade B (DR).
Officers in Grade B (DR):- A total Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM): 20 posts
The eligibility criteria for RBI job is as follows:
Educational Qualifications:- The following educational qualifications are eligible.
General Stream:- Candidate must have graduation in any discipline with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or post-graduation with 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD). They can also have other eligible professional qualifications like CA final or equivalent government-recognised technical degrees.
DEPR Stream:- Candidate must have Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Econometrics, or related fields with at least 55% marks. Candidates having PGDM/MBA (Finance) or research/teaching experience may be eligible for getting age relaxation.
DSIM Stream:- Candidate must have Master's in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Economics, or related fields with at least 55% marks. Candidates with M.Stat. from ISI, PGDBA (ISI Kolkata/IIT Kharagpur/IIM Calcutta), or related post-graduate diplomas are also eligible.
Age Requirement:- Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years as of 1 July, 2025.
Upper Age Limit for those with MPhil or PhD:- Candidates having MPhil or PhD qualifications have the upper age limits extended to 32 and 34 years, respectively.

To apply for RBI job, you must follow the instructions below:
Step 1: The first step is to visit the RBI's official website.
Step 2: Once you are on the homepage, you must navigate to Opportunities@RBI at the bottom of the homepage. Then, click on current vacancies.
Step 3: Locate the notification titled "Direct Recruitment for Officers in Grade B (DR) 2025 - General/DEPR/DSIM"
Step 4: Now, click the online application to register and fill the application form.
Step 5: Upload required documents such as your educational certificates, experience proof, photograph, etc. Then, pay the application fee.
Step 6: Now, you can download and save the completed application for future reference.
There are three stages involved in RBI recruitment process 2025, i.e., (i) Preliminary Exam, (ii) Main Exam, and (iii) Interview.
The prelims exam for RBI job consists of a single paper comprising 200 questions that carry a total of 200 marks. Candidates get 120 minutes to finish the paper.
The questions will be from the following sections:
Quantitative Aptitude
English Language
Reasoning
General Awareness
It’ll take place on 6 December.
Paper 1: Economics & Social Issues - Objective + Descriptive (total marks: 100 marks, duration: 120 min)
Paper 2: English Writing Skills - Descriptive (total marks: 100 marks, duration: 90 min)
Paper 3: Finance & Management - Objective + Descriptive (total marks: 100 marks, duration: 120 min)
On the basis of scores in Phase 2, the RBI will shortlist the candidates for the last stage, i.e., interview. The interview carries a total of 50 marks.
