The Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Scheme for MSME Empowerment

Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) scheme is a sub-scheme under the Central Sector Scheme ‘Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance’ (RAMP). MSME Team Scheme’s outlay is Rs. 277.35 Cr. for a period of 3 years, starting from 2024 to 2027.

To empower the MSMEs in the e-commerce, the scheme leverages digital public infrastructure by:-

  • Offering micro, medium and small businesses direct access to a government-supported digital commerce network known as Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). This network provides ready-made online storefronts, integrated online payment solutions and assistance in logistics.

  • Doing away with the requirement for MSMEs to create their own e-commerce platform by allowing onboarding and cataloguing via the interoperable mechanisms of ONDC.

  • Leveraging the TEAM portal to register the micro, medium and small enterprises online, capture their business profiles and match them efficiently to Seller Network Participants (SNPs) for a smooth onboarding and streamlined ongoing digital business assistance.

  • Facilitating capacity building workshops and assistance for MSMEs to make sure they can easily use and benefit from the e-commerce as well as digital market opportunities available to them.

The MSME Team Scheme aims to provide benefits to 500,000 micro and small enterprises, of which 50% are women-owned MSEs.

This information was provided by Smt. Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, the Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium enterprises, in a written reply in Rajya Sabha, on 1 December 2025.
