On 28 November 2025, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) congratulated the winners of the second edition of the Swachh Industrial Park Awards 2025 at its 98th Annual General Meeting and Annual Convention. These awards were instituted in response to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call for cleanliness in industrial areas.

The Swacch Industrial Park Awards build on the decade-long momentum of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and aim to speed up the measurable sustainability outcomes across industrial parks nationwide. The inaugural edition of the awards was held last year to acknowledge the public industrial parks that showcased excellence in the areas of cleanliness, sustainability and waste management.

Hon’ble Minister for Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, presented the awards last year at FICCI’s 97th AGM. During the event, he spoke about the strong connection between cleanliness, economic growth and employment creation. He also praised the robust evaluation framework of FICCI and encouraged the awards’ expansion to include private industrial parks and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) alongside government-operated parks.

The second edition of the awards was launched in collaboration with the FICCI Centre for Sustainability Leadership, which is dedicated to promoting cleaner, greener and more sustainable industrial ecosystems across India. This year 130 industrial parks from 18 states registered for the awards. The evaluation framework, developed by FICCI in consultation with an independent jury, included PwC as the Knowledge Partner and GEPIL as the Green Partner.

Participating parks were assessed across three major pillars, i.e., (i) Environmental Sustainability, (iii) Waste Management and (iii) Infrastructure. After a rigorous evaluation, which included site visits, a total of 12 states were shortlisted for awards. The winners were honored by FICCI President Mr. Harsha Vardhan Agarwal, President Elect Mr. Anant Goenka, Past President Ms. Naina Lal Kidwai and Director General Ms. Jyoti Vij.

The Swachh Industrial Park Awards, through its two editions, reasserted the commitment of FICCI when it comes to promoting a cleaner, greener and more resilient industrial ecosystem. It contributes to long-term economic growth and climate-resilient development.
