To empower the women of Delhi, the BJP-led Delhi Government announced the Mahila Samridhi Yojana (MSY) on March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women's Day. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 2,500 will be provided to women, including widows, single mothers, and women from economically weaker sections as long as they fulfill the eligibility requirements.

MSY full form is the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. It is a scheme launched by the Delhi government to provide financial assistance and support to women in Delhi. The financial assistance is Rs. 2,500 to every eligible woman, including windows, single mothers, and women belonging to weaker sections of the society.
The objective of the MSY scheme is to assist the women in uplifting their financial status, and use the financial aid to meet their basic expenses, such as food and education among other expenses.
“The scheme has been approved today, for which I congratulate the sisters of Delhi… I would like to assure them that all the work needed for their suraksha (security) and the promises related to their samridhi (prosperity) will be fulfilled soon,” Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said during the scheme’s launch on March 8, 2025.
The following women are eligible for the scheme:
Women between the ages of 21 and 60.
Women with an annual income of up to Rs. 3 lakhs.
Women who are not liable to pay income tax.
Women who do not hold a government job and are not already receiving financial support from another government scheme.

The Delhi Govt has not yet announced the MSY registration process. However, a registration portal will be launched soon to enable women to register online. Once the process for registering under the scheme gets announced, we will update this section accordingly.
