Startup India Certificate, also known as DPIIT Certificate of Recognition, is an official document issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to confirm that a business is considered a startup under the Startup India initiative. Downloading the DPIIT certificate via NSWS portal involves the following steps:
Step 1: Start by visiting the official NSWS portal.
Step 2: Once you are on the homepage, you need to login using the same credentials you used during the Startup India application process.
Step 3: After logging in, navigate to the dashboard and click on ‘Registration as a Startup Application’.
Step 4: Once you open the application, your status should appear as “Recognised”.
Step 5: Click on the ‘Download Certificate’ button on the screen to successfully download Startup India certificate PDF.
The Startup India certificate download process via Startup India Portal involves the following steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of Startup India @ https://www.startupindia.gov.in/.
Step 2: Once you are on the homepage, navigate to the dashboard and then choose the ‘Recognition’ section. After that, click on the ‘Verify/Download Certificate’ option.
Step 3: Now, a new page will appear on your screen. Read all the guidelines carefully. Then, in the ‘Select the certificate type’ field, choose the ‘Certificate of Recognition’ option.
Step 4: Thereafter, enter the Certificate Number. Make sure to enter it correctly. If you do not remember the Certificate Number, enter the Certificate Name instead.
Step 5: After that, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Step 6: Finally, you need to click on the ‘Click on View Certificate’ button. After that, the Startup India Certification will load on your screen. Click on the download button to successfully download it.
Downloading the DPIIT certification via the DigiLocker requires completion of the following steps:
Step 1: Visit the DigiLocker website or open the Digilocker app.
Step 2: Sign in using the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Step 3: Click on "Search Documents" and then search “DPIIT” or “Startup Certificate”.
Step 4: Now, you need to select “Recognition Certificate - Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT)”.
Step 5: For this step, enter your DPIIT recognition number as well as registered mobile no.
Step 6: Finally, click on the ‘Get Document’ option. After this, the certificate will be successfully fetched directly into your DigiLocker. Therefore, you don’t need to download it separately.
