This is because these products are included in the list of scheduled products under the APEDA Act, 1985. To register with APEDA, you need to visit the official website of DGFT and apply there.
Import Export Code is a 10-digit code issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. This code is required by all entities that want to engage in import or export business activities. To secure this code, you need to apply for IEC registration via the official DGFT portal.
Once you obtain IEC, it remains valid for lifetime. Hence, no renewal is required. With that being said, the IEC holders need to update their details annually to maintain the active status of the code.
GST registration is mandatory for businesses if their annual turnover exceeds Rs. 40 lakhs for goods and Rs. 20 lakhs for services. However, in case of export businesses, this registration is mandatory regardless of the annual turnover. Therefore, it is essential that you secure GST registration certificate for your milk export business.
To secure GST registration, you need to visit the official GST portal and apply there. Upon successful registration, you will be able to download your GST certificate from the same portal.
